About Jen

Hi & Welcome! I’m so glad you found your way here. I’m Jen. Mom to three beautiful boys. I’m also a blogger and natural light photographer with a documentary & lifestyle approach.  I’m addicted to instagram (and quite possibly Starbucks).  I spend my days mostly playing with my kids & capturing their every little minute in an effort to freeze their childhood, savor their personalities and tell their stories for years to come.

My love of photography started many years ago. Like it does for a lot of Moms, my passion kicked into high gear with the birth of my first child. I snapped so many pictures and religiously took him for his monthly milestone photos at those chain photography stores you so often see in the mall. When my second child rolled around he was having nothing to do with  standard white backdrops & studio lights so I set out to learn everything I could, do it my way & do it myself.  And I did! I have so many wonderful photographs of my children that are way more than them just sitting there, looking pretty and smiling for the camera photos. I do have a few of those but it’s all the other images I have that really make my heart sing.

I want you to have the same thing! The perfectly posed portraits amidst the multitude of shots that capture your kids, family & loved ones just being themselves. I believe the most beautiful of images are not the one where you are all looking and smiling at me (ie. the camera) but the ones where you are looking at, smiling, interacting with and loving on each other. Those are the photographs you will be really glad you have ten years from now. Those are the images that tell your story.

I hope you’ll take a few minutes and browse around the site.  If you have any questions or just want to chat feel free to drop me a line. I look forward to getting to know you better.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything”. — Aaron Siskind
